59. Dispersion

“The wind drives over the water . . . “

A change will come, breaking up the fog separating you from others. Strive for flexibility, acceptance, and balance.

………………..

Dispersion is the future of Conflict, which was our last Main Message. The best way to deal with this Conflict is to let go of it.

The Book of Changes says: You have a relatively minor Conflict with someone that is distancing you from the relationship you’d like to have. Let go of it — Disperse it.

Example: At work, you are convinced you have a new way of doing things that would be far more efficient. Your supervisor disagrees. It seems the more you to try to explain to him, the more resistant he gets. The Yi says, “Let go of it.” This Dispersion will clear the fog effecting everyone around you.

How the Book of Changes Works

“The way in which the Book of Changes works can best be compared to an electrical circuit reaching into all situations. The circuit only affords the potentiality of lighting; it does not give light. But when contact with a definite situation is established in the questioner, the ‘current’ is activated, and the given situation is illumined.”
