34. Great Power, Line 4

“The hedge opens — no entanglement.”

Quiet and steady effort clears the way for you to advance.

……………………………………………………………

Our previous changing line told of a goat who “butts against a hedge and gets its horns entangled.” Here, the hedge opens and there is no entanglement.

The Book of Changes says: If you don’t butt in to the tangle of someone else’s difficulties, your way forward will be smooth. Your Great Power must be used in a controlled, focused manner, for your own good and the good of others.

Our final changing line has more to say about this.

………………….

Tomorrow: Line 6. “Goat butts against a hedge — can’t go backward, can’t go forward.”
