Inner Truth, Line 1

“If there are secret designs, it is disquieting.”

Finding and living your Inner Truth depends on inner and outer honesty. If you have a hidden agenda, or are hedging your bets, in your relationships with others, it will cause misfortune.

…………………………………………………………………………

Here’s a common example: Girl A wants to get closer to Boy B. Boy B is not showing any interest, but Boy C, Boy B’s best friend, is. Girl A feigns interest in Boy C so she can hang out with their group. This inevitably ends badly.

The Book of Changes says: Living your Inner Truth requires you to present that truth to others.

Keeping up a false front may be the easiest thing to do right now, but it won’t get you what you want in the long run.

The Yi has two more changing lines for us on how to live a life of Inner Truth, Line 3 and 6.
