25. The Unexpected, Line 6

“Innocent action brings misfortune.”

You have done the right thing, but it didn’t work out. There is nothing you can do. Accept it.

Line 6 describes a time when you met The Unexpected, and did the “right thing,” but the outcome was not at all what you hoped for and expected.

As The Stranger says in The Big Lebowski: Sometimes you eat the bear, and sometimes the bear eats you. Or, if you’re more urban: Sometimes you get the elevator, and sometimes you get the shaft.

Or more simply, “You win some, you lose some.” You lost this one. Accept it and move on.

Cheer up. The future looks downright . . .
