You need to focus on yourself now. Practice meditation, yoga — whatever allows you to still your thoughts and calm your inner distress. There is no blame in not putting others’ needs first all the time.

The Yi is like an airline attendant, telling you: Put your oxygen mask on first. You have to be able to breathe before you can help others.

The requests of others can be acknowledged, but they don’t have to be addressed.
