52. Keeping Still

She goes out into her courtyard and does not see her people. No blame.

You need to focus on yourself now. Practice meditation, yoga, go running — whatever allows you to still your thoughts and calm your inner distress. There is no blame in not putting others’ needs first all the time.

Keeping Still is the future message of our main message, The Wanderer. You will cease your wandering, and find a spot to rest. This time will be meant to rejuvenate you, not for you to take care of others. They can fend for themselves.

If you must care for someone full-time, like an infant or elderly parent, find a way to add at least some time that is just yours. You need some balance in your life.
